Music On Paper is one week away!!! If you don’t know what this fantastic event is here are the details:
Our good friend (and designer of many a Moniker poster) Pat Hamou has put together an exhibit featuring some of the finest show poster designer/artists in North America today - the result is Music On Paper, which will open on July 6th at Galerie 4220.
Over 16 different designers are contributing to the show, including the likes of Jason Munn aka The Small Stakes, Aesthetic Apparatus, Patent Pending, Seripop, Doublenaut, Strawberry Luna, Burlesque Of North America, Chris Robertson (our very own Moniker printer) and many more.
There will be over 70 posters on display until July 20th, and a good portion of them are for sale, also it’s free. So come on out to the Vernissage next Wednesday, you know we’ll be there!
To kick off Hot Off The Press we would like to present the newest screen printed posters by Richard Rossetto and Jp King. These two have quickly become staple artists within the Moniker Family and we are ecstatic to be working along side them to create such beautiful prints.
All prints are available for purchase on our WEBSITE or on ETSY
Hot Off The Press is our newest venture here at Moniker where we will be working collaboratively with local (and not so local) artists to create screen printed art goods such as prints, bags, apparel and custom goods in the spirit of mutual gain, splitting all revenue 50/50 between Moniker and Artist.
Hot Off The Press differs from our yearly event Machine Wash Cold - Tumble Dry Low in that we will be the ones seeking out new exciting artists and asking them to collaborate with us in new merchandising opportunities (whereas MWC-TDL is an open call for submissions). SO, if you’d like to work with us make sure to submit something amazing for MWC-TDL 2012 as it could very well be your starting point for a wonderful collaboration with Moniker now and forever.
Just printed some posters for the upcoming Kid Koala show presented by Osheaga Arts! This show is taking place on July 15th, 16th and 17th in the Biosphere (so cool) on Ile Ste. Helene and is going to be wicked, there’s also going to be cookies. Awesome.
Moniker just got Twitter - @MonikerDesigns - don’t quite know how to use it, but I shall figure it out. Oh the world of technology you will now know what I am doing all the time via 140 characters or less.
This video blew me away, the work is both meticulous and fluid capturing both artists individual styles while keeping a perfect unity in execution - SUPAKITCH & KORALIE complement each other perfectly in this work, how inspiring.
The day that we didn’t get rained out… Mount-Royal Street Fair 2011, thanks Marie-Christine for inviting us to take part in Nuit Blanche sur Tableau Noir!
